Rule Changes Proposed by
Stuart Johnson:
A12 Before the final
sentence add:
"Any team which wins the same division two seasons in succession may not
decline promotion for the start of the season following". PASSED
A14 At the end,
replace "at the start of the season" with:
"before Christmas". PASSED
A15 Add the following:
"In a postponed match, either team may use only players who on the
original fixture date were members of the C.M. to which that team
belongs." REJECTED
A24 Add the following:
"In the event of a team defaulting a match, the opposing team must submit
a team-sheet to claim won match. One
game point will be given for each bona fide club member listed on that sheet
who would have been eligible and available to play on that date. No such players will be admissible in the
last two fixtures if they have not played for any team previously that
season". PASSED (subject to
final rewording of A24 by Executive Committee)
A24 Add as a separate
proposal:
"Any team which fails to submit detailed results to the Competitions
Controller (including walk-overs) for more than two matches will have one
league point deducted for each unreported match thereafter". PASSED (subject to final rewording of
A24 by Executive Committee)
Rule Changes Proposed by
Jeremy Hamm
Rule A11 Amend to read:
"There shall be eight players in
each team in all the competitions." PASSED
Rule A16 Delete the
sentence:
"In addition, any
player who has played twice or more on boards five or six in Division One may
not thereafter play in any lower division in the same season." PASSED
Jeremy's comments:
The objectives of the proposed rule changes are twofold:
1) to bring the rules of the Woodhouse Cup into line with the
other competitions in the Yorkshire League, in particular concerning the number
of players in each team: in addition to the general desirability of this
rationalisation, the particular benefit would be to ease transition for teams
promoted to and relegated from the Woodhouse Cup;
2) to enable two cars rather than three to be used for away
matches in the Woodhouse Cup: the consequent saving in organisation and cost
would be considerable.
Rule A24 Replace the
existing worded "posted" with
"posted or sent by e-mail". PASSED (subject to final rewording of
A24 by Executive Committee)
